How long will I be without the bathroom?

A standard hall bath runs three to five weeks on site. Tile and glass drive the schedule — grout and sealants need cure time that cannot be compressed, and shower glass is measured after tile is set, which adds a one to two week fabrication window.

Can you work around a single-bathroom house?

Yes. We sequence to keep the toilet usable as long as possible and can set up a temporary alternative. Tell us during the walkthrough so we can plan for it rather than improvise.

What does a bathroom remodel cost?

It depends far more on scope than on square footage. Moving plumbing, going curbless, or opening a wall changes the number substantially. We give a fixed written price after the walkthrough rather than a range that moves later.

Waterproofing is the part you will never see

Cement board is not waterproof. We install a bonded membrane across the full wet area, flood-test shower pans before tile, and treat every corner, niche, and penetration as its own detail. You get the photos of each stage, which also makes any future warranty conversation simple.

Ventilation gets sized, not guessed

A large share of the mold we find behind Portland bathroom walls comes from a fan that was too small or vented into the attic instead of outside. We size the fan to the room's volume and duct it to a proper exterior cap. In a wet climate this matters more than any finish choice.

Curbless and aging-in-place work

If you want a curbless shower, blocking for future grab bars, or a comfort-height vanity, say so during planning. Structural allowances for a zero-threshold entry are cheap while the floor is open and expensive afterward.
