Wall & Ceiling Finishes
Walls and ceilings are the surfaces you look at all day, so every flaw in them is permanent and visible. We hang, tape, and finish to the level the room actually needs, and we can match an existing texture closely enough that a repair disappears.

Finish levels are a real specification
Drywall finishing has defined levels, and the right one depends on the paint and the light. A wall taking flat paint in a dim hallway does not need what a wall taking eggshell across a big south window does. We specify the level up front so the expectation and the price match.
Popcorn ceilings come with a caution
Texture on ceilings installed before roughly 1980 may contain asbestos. It must be tested before removal, not assumed. If a test comes back positive we will refer you to a licensed abatement contractor rather than scraping it ourselves — this is a hard line for us.
Trim that suits the house
In a 1912 foursquare, modern trim looks wrong immediately. We profile-match existing millwork or mill to a period-appropriate profile, and we mitre and fit trim tightly enough that it does not need caulk to hide the joinery.

Common questions
- Can you match my ceiling texture?
- In most cases yes — knockdown, orange peel, and most hand textures are matchable. Heavy stipple and some hand-troweled patterns are harder; we will test a small area and show you before committing.
- How much dust is involved?
- Sanding drywall is dusty work. We seal off the work area, use vacuum-assisted sanders where practical, and clean daily. It is meaningfully less dust than you are picturing, but it is not zero.
- Do you still hang wallpaper?
- Yes. Wallpaper is very much back, and hanging it well — particularly with a pattern repeat on out-of-plumb old walls — is a real skill.
